Peter Panageas joined Independence as vice president of sales in 2010. In his tenure with the company, he has implemented significant changes to the sales incentive program and improved the department’s membership reporting capabilities to increase sales force effectiveness. In his role, Peter is responsible for our Profit & Loss focused on new business and retention for all groups 1,000+, including Large Local, National, Health & Welfare, Education, and FEP for new business and retention.
Peter is a respected client relationship leader with recognized expertise in new business creation, client relationship management, and innovative client solutions. He is supported by a seasoned management team and sales executives who cultivate relationships with key accounts. He also manages Consortium-related responsibilities for Independence sales & marketing, and is responsible for membership forecasting for Independence family of companies in coordination with Sales Analytics, Finance, Actuarial, and Strategy Teams.
Peter received a bachelor of science degree from Rutgers University.
